Poll: Large majority of Californians support water restrictions amid drought
Category : state
According to a Field Poll, nearly two-thirds of Californians support mandatory water restrictions ordered by Gov. Jerry Brown amid the state’s historic drought. The finding that “Sixty-five percent of adults favor the order, with little variation in opinion between Northern and Southern California” is significant considering the regional tensions we’re used to hearing about. While some respondents are taking action on a personal level, by taking shorter showers, others are suggesting that the state look into ways to make our agricultural water usage more efficient.
